I didn't hear that part of the show so can't really comment, I take it she was in favour of restoring the cane?

I'm not really in favour of it but if the threat of it was there, it might just be a detterent as the kids know they can get away with practically anything.

Watched a TV show last night on Street crime. In particular, two young boys about 11 yrs old walked into a tennis court picked up a players racket (a mid aged gent) and hit his tennis ball out over the fence, laughed and walked out. The players locked them out so the boys started to break the gate and then spat in the man's face throught the fencing. When a park keeper came to investigate they squared up to him.
Now these boys would have had no chance and even a threat of a clip behind the ear would have solved it but the were "untouchable" and knew it.

I really got angry. God help the boy who spits in my face.

I asked a boy recently why he thought beating up my son (with his little gang) was acceptable. He laid down on the floor crossed his legs and shrugged. With a smirk on his face he simply blanked me. I really wanted to stomp on his head. If we don't have some form of discipline this is what we face every day.
