ELECTIONS
We preview the important elections in Scotland, England and Wales.
As an Anarcho-Syndicalist in my heart, but a Socialist in terms of real-life and voting in a 'democratic' process, I find none of the candidates in my local council elections even come close to representing my views.
Where's the democracy in that? :angry5:
I'll vote; but it will be a negative one for the 'Green' candidate, 'coz I can't bring myself to support Labour, the tories or the Lib-Dems.

I always think a little of what you fancy does you no harm, even if it's not 'healthy'. The rules seem to change from day to day as far as 'healthy is concerned!

Here's the link to the street artist that Jeremy was talking about. http://users.skynet.be/J.Beever/pave.htm
I thought it might be this guy as someone sent me some pictures a while ago. The 3D ones are amazing.

On the first issue. People might well have have said "so what", but he lied in court. That was his undoing. Has it got him a criminal record?
On the second issue: Begs the question, Haven't they got something better to do?
On the fourth issue: There are so many food 'scares' these days. Well you might as well eat a bit of what you like, if you listened to all these 'experts' you wouldn't eat anything at all & therefore you'd die of starvation! I don't beleave there's any substitute to a balanced diet. Perhaps it's time to bring back full cookery lessons in schools.

What is the world coming to honestly!!! The policemen who sent the email summed it up they have to do this stuff to get marks.
What child hasn't drawn on chalk on the pavement?!! grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr I know I did and no one minded!!! What is the matter with this country? When there are drug pushers, burglars and goodness knows what to deal with?
An example, we live in a quiet cul-de-sac and some new old biddy who has moved in doesn't like the kids playing a few ball games!!! We've never had a problem before. Get this we've had letters through the door from the Police saying it is against the Highways Act 1990 or whatever year it is. Well firstly we don't live on a busy highway and secondly have they nothing better to do?!!! When my son was assaulted by strangers they said they didn't have the reasources to deal with it - very nice police people and I'm sure individuals are not to blame and they feel just as frustrated. The next thing I know is this week we have another letter, despite the fact I've hardly seen the 8 year olds playing with a ball saying there is going to be a meeting about it!! Again have they nothing better to do!! ?
Sorry this is all wrong kids should not be treated this way for playing harmlessly in the street the police should strike if necessary to make the powers that be see they are behaving like complete pratts when they have far more serious issues to deal with. Apart from anything else this is hardly likely to lead to good police youth relationships either is it?!
Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr this country has gone mad.
Rant over ;-)

Phil good point about cookery lessons.
That women made me laugh though she made such a poor case for poor eating she was as the other women described "constipated". Everything in moderation is what I say. There is no doubt a lot of kids in this country are fed crap and they behave the same way and it doesn't make you boring because you eat reasonably well but you don't have to go over the top to do it! Nothing wrong with a good roast dinner as long as you don't have too much fat in it! Gotta be better than a McDonalds IMO.
It was an amusing debate though she was so awful the anti healthly eating woman she made you want to grab a piece of fruit which I'm sure they were doing in the studio ;-)
