Hi Merrymeet, nice to see you.
:hello2:
Used to enjoy Blakes Seven - all the wobbly sets :D
My sister was the real fan though.

I thought it was crap. But, next to Torchwood, it's a classic

Next to Torchwood anything is classic. I think JB hs it written into his contract he has to get snog every episode or something

Yeah I’m a bit of a Blakes 7 geek. Wobbly sets, ropy costumes and cheap effects et al.
I like the way it wasn’t a happy ending every episode and the way the characters changed throughout its 4 year run. Could get even geekier, but I’d get things thrown at me.
Torchwood I like too, some fresh (if not original) concepts in their and for modern Sci-Fi that’s a masterstroke. Barrowman dose seem to lip lock everything that moves and the fact that its set in Cardiff also strains a bit, but hey its Sci-Fi and beats the hell our watching miserable soaps and C list celebs on ice mugging the screen for a career kick start.
Perhaps Blakes 7 remade? Hmmmm memo for Russell T Davis I think ...

I've stood on the very spot where the entrance is to Torchwood hq and I can tell you, it's all smooth as silk concrete. Not a paving slab to be seen!

Hey Mr Butter .. you need to know the secret tap on how to get down to Torchwood HQ .. or failing that a car ride to the bottom of Powerstation Hill in Upper Boat Pontypridd, where the set is ... in the same hanger as the Tardis btw!

I have watched Torchwood for the first time when this series started. I must admit, I did not realise it was soooooo cheesy, I thought it was meant to be the adult, scary, darker side to Doctor Who! Saying that have quite enjoyed what I have seen, but have not seen the last 2 episodes and not really missed it!
