Apple CEO Steve Jobs finally revealed the iPad, a hybrid between a notebook and a smart phone at Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco.
Its design is somehow similar to iPhone, but is a little bit larger than that. It features a 9.7-inch touch screen, from 16 to 64 GB of memory and Bluetooth and Wi-Fi incorporated. With a battery that lasts about 10 hours or a month (!) when on standby, this appears to be an interesting new gadget entering high-tech market.
This device can be used for surfing on the Internet (using Apple’s Safari browser), for reading books from its electronic store, playing games or reading newspapers with a The New York Times’ reader. It also can synchronize with Macintosh and Windows computers, and iPhone’s applications are fully compatible with iPad.
It will be launched worldwide in March at price range from $499 to $699. In addition, there will also be available some models that can connect to AT&T wireless network, but starting from April and with higher costs ($629-$829).
Let’s see if this new gadget will convince consumers that worths the money.
